Subscription Basics

Users may subscribe to The New York Minute Show content via a number of RSS feeds provided on this site. RSS (which stands for Really Simple Syndication) is a text based format that allows users to keep track of information on a website without having to repeatedly go to that website. Most major news and entertainment sites are using RSS feeds in order to allow the readers to more easily keep track of content. Some of these sites include: Yahoo, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Netflix Subscribers track RSS feed information by using a tool called an RSS Aggregator. An RSS aggregator allows a user to keep track of the activity on any number of websites via their RSS feeds. Users can enter the RSS feed address into these applications and then the application will automatically check for updates. Some widely used (and free) RSS aggregators are:

Web Based: My Yahoo, Google Reader, Netvibes, Blubrry and Bloglines
Desktop Based: News Gator, Ampheta Desk, Onfolio, Feed Demon
